Our Neighborhood

The main attraction of Glenmere on Channing Lane might be our convenient location just one mile from the UNC Chapel Hill campus.  Glenmere, however, offers so much more: a welcoming atmosphere, sense of community and resident diversity.   Our peaceful, family friendly neighborhood brings us close to nature.  As a cul-de-sac, parents can watch their children play safely on our street and in their yards without worrying about noisy, busy traffic.  Seasonal neighborhood gatherings add to the enjoyment we find in our neighborhood community.

 

Several walking and biking trails begin almost out our backdoors.  The Fan Branch Trail leads to Southern Village’s dining, shopping, and entertainment establishments. The Morgan Creek Trail ends at Merritt’s Pasture, a popular hiking location.  

 

Great schools are nearby as well.  Mary Scroggs Elementary School is in Southern Village, an easy bike-ride away.  Within walking distance from the neighborhood is Culbreth Middle School.  Just a mile away, older students attend Carrboro High School. 

 

 

Notice of 2026 Monthly Association Dues
 
The Board of Directors of the Glenmere HOA voted to increase the quarterly HOA Dues for the Glenmere Community for 2026 to $354.00 to meet current and future financial expenditures / obligations. This amount (made payable to Glenmere HOA) will continue to be due on the 1st of each quarter (January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st) in 2026. You may also pay ahead for all of 2026 ($1,416.00) in January, if that is your preference. Any monthly payment not received, in hand, by the management company by the last day of the month the payment is due will be assessed a late penalty monthly until the balance is paid in full.
